The Lakes
Our waters include sections of the River Cam and the Old West River. We have our own still-water complex in Waterbeach Road, Landbeach, this includes Leland Water, Atkins Water, Magpie Lake and Dodd's Water. We also have the Lagoons next to the Old West River near the Lazy Otter at Chittering on the A10. Anyone fishing our waters must be in possession of a VALID ROD LICENCE.
Magpie
A moat shape lake which produces phenomenal catches of mainly Carp. A sheltered, intimate fishery that can be fished in all weathers. Many fish to well into double figures can be caught here. For those big catches try a day at Magpie you won't regret it. Day ticket only available on the bank. No Keep nets to be used at anytime. The fishery has landing net heads and unhooking mats available for your use, please do not bring your own. You will need to supply your own landing pole. Thank you
Leland
Our premier lake, Leland is a pristine body of water spread over 5 acres, it has specimen Carp, Tench, Bream, Rudd, Roach and Perch.
This water is not fishable on the club card.
Day tickets will be available to WAC members only from April 1st - October 31st No advance booking. The waiting list for new members is now closed until March 2025
Dodd's
Is stocked with Crucian carp, Roach, Rudd, Bream, Tench, Chub and Gudgeon it is a fishery of approximately 1/2 acre so there will be limited swim access. The water is a vinyl lined lake. Bank sticks must not be used, please use the provided wooden based bank stick support . Landing net heads are provided, you will need to supply your own landing pole. No nets to be brought onto our site. Thank you.
Atkins
A small doughnut-shaped lake with all the above species but no Pike. A prolific water that can be fished on the club card which runs from April 1st to March 31st each year. Carp to 20lb are the main attraction to Atkins. No Keep nets are to be used at any time. The fishery has landing net heads and unhooking mats available for your use, please do not bring your own. You will need to supply your own landing pole. Thank you.
